Responsibilities

  • Perform static, fatigue, damage tolerance, and dynamic analyses of aerospace structures using finite element analysis (FEA), primarily with ANSYS.
  • Develop, refine, and validate FEA models, including meshing strategies, boundary conditions, and material definitions.
  • Analyze and interpret simulation results to identify critical stress regions and recommend design improvements for enhanced structural integrity and performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing analysis approaches, assumptions, results, and conclusions.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers, stress analysts, and cross-functional teams to integrate analysis insights into product development.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing expert guidance on structural performance and risk areas.
  • Support the development and implementation of advanced analysis methods, tools, and best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve complex structural and engineering challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis within the aerospace domain.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard FEA tools such as ANSYS (preferred), NASTRAN, Patran, or ABAQUS.
  • Strong foundation in structural mechanics, including elasticity, plasticity, fatigue, and fracture mechanics.
  • Experience with hand calculations and classical stress analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials such as composites, aluminum alloys, and titanium, including their mechanical behavior.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
