Job Summary
HR Service Jobs is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as an Entry Level IT Support Specialist. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems both remotely and on-site.
- System Maintenance: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
- User Management: Create, modify, and manage user accounts and permissions in various systems and platforms.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the IT ticketing system. Document processes and create user guides as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior IT staff to support ongoing projects and initiatives. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of IT processes and procedures.
- Training: Assist in onboarding new employees with IT training and setup. Provide basic IT training to staff as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and software applications. Familiarity with network concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Customer Service: Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service with a positive and patient demeanor.
Experience
- Professional Experience: Previous experience in a technical support role is a plus but not required. Internships or hands-on projects in IT support are beneficial.
- Skills Development: Exposure to or experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) and remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Remote Desktop) is advantageous.
Working Hours
- Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some flexibility may be required based on business needs and occasional after-hours support.
