Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

- Review and verify patient records for completeness and accuracy.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and clarify information.
- Stay updated on industry changes and coding guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Assist in training new team members on billing procedures and software.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in medical billing and coding or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding systems.
- Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- No prior experience required; however, internships or coursework in medical billing and coding will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance policies and practices is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with standard office hours (9 AM to 5 PM). Flexibility may be required during peak periods.
