Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals for the position of Entry-Level Medical Billing and Coding. Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze patient records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
- Process medical billing claims and ensure timely submission to insurance companies.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update patient records and billing information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Stay current with coding updates, billing regulations, and healthcare policies.
- Assist in generating financial reports and tracking billing metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certificate in medical billing and coding is preferred.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using computer systems and EHR software; familiarity with billing software is a plus.
Experience
- No prior experience required; however, internships or coursework in medical billing and coding is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies in the healthcare field.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with standard working hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM).
- Flexibility to accommodate overtime or varying hours as needed based on workload.
