• Claims Follow-Up: Monitor and manage claims submissions, resolving any issues or rejections from insurance companies.
• Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records in compliance with privacy regulations and healthcare standards.
• Billing Inquiries: Address patient and insurance company inquiries related to billing issues, providing clear and timely responses.
• Documentation: Review and verify medical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Compliance: Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and insurance regulations to ensure adherence to current standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associates degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field preferred.
• Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) certification preferred, but not required for entry-level applicants.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and ensure accuracy in coding and billing processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Experience:

• Experience: No prior experience is required for this entry-level role. However, any relevant internship or coursework in medical billing and coding will be considered an asset.
• Training: On-the-job training will be provided, including mentorship from experienced professionals.

Working Hours:

• Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility for remote work may be considered based on performance and organizational needs.
