Interested in building products used by millions of customers worldwide? As a Front-End Engineer Intern at Amazon, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to design and develop intuitive, high-quality user interfaces. You’ll contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from ideation and design to deployment and maintenance—while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Program Details
- Full-time internship (up to 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday)
- Typical working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (team-dependent)
- Interns are expected to work on-site and should not have scheduling conflicts (e.g., classes or other jobs)
- Duration: Up to 12 weeks
- Start period: Fall 2026 (August–September)
Applicants must have at least one academic term remaining after the internship.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance front-end components and features
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Translate feature requirements into scalable, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and team discussions
- Troubleshoot issues and support production systems
- Contribute to improving code quality, performance, and user satisfaction

Basic Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for up to 12 weeks
- Currently enrolled in a U.S.-based academic program
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Expected graduation: May 2027 – December 2029
- Proficiency in:
- JavaScript
- HTML and CSS
- At least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#)
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
- Familiarity with UX design principles and best practices
