As a trainee within our Quality Engineering department, you will be given the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of components and suppliers that directly support our Formula 1 programmes. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, high-performance parts that keep our Power Units on the grid and performing at the highest level.

This structured programme is designed to challenge and develop your technical and professional skills, giving you invaluable hands-on experience at the heart of motorsport engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Engineering Leadership: Manage a diverse portfolio of components and suppliers, working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Internal Manufacturing, External Suppliers, and Inspection teams to resolve technical and quality issues.

  • Data-Driven Improvement: Use statistical data to identify and communicate opportunities for quality improvements across the supply chain, reducing non-conformances.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at reducing cost and lead times, while improving manufacturing yield and reliability.

  • New Part Introduction: Support design reviews for new components, using insights from historical data, failure modes, and manufacturing challenges to ensure robust, capable, and cost-effective designs.

  • Supplier Development: Conduct on-site supplier visits and audits to expand our approved supply base and prepare suppliers for new part introductions.

  • Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Lead structured investigations using industry-standard tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) to identify root causes and implement lasting corrective actions that protect our engines and support our F1 performance targets.
