About the Role
Ramp is, at its core, an engineering-first company, on a mission to build the best engineering team in NYC and SF. We’re rapidly scaling our iOS app, and we’re looking for an iOS intern to help shape the next generation of Ramp Mobile alongside our world-class team.
This is a 12- or 16-week Summer 2026 internship (May – August) for someone excited to contribute to our early story and help foster a diverse, vibrant tech community. We value engineers with broad technical skills who are highly cross-functional, take ownership of projects from inception to production, and learn quickly. As an intern, you’ll collaborate closely with a nimble team of talented engineers, making a tangible long-term impact on both our products and engineering culture.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and launch new features on Ramp’s iOS app.
- Collaborate with Product and Design to identify key features and prioritize their implementation.
- Work with engineers across teams to build the services that support our app.
- Influence and improve technical design, engineering processes, and team culture.
- Ship products and features in cross-functional teams.
- Help scale our codebase, tooling, and engineering practices for long-term growth.
What You’ll Need
- Pursuing a B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related field (expected graduation between Dec 2026 – 2028).
- Available for Summer 2026.
- Proficient in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Strong understanding of iOS UI components, mobile design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience contributing to at least one mobile app or multiple features with a large user impact.
- Track record of delivering high-quality products, side projects, or apps.
- Curious and driven to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of mobile app security best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with web apps (React, TypeScript).
- Familiarity with backend technologies (Python, Flask, SQL, OpenAPI).
- Experience with Ramp’s stack: Swift Concurrency, The Composable Architecture, Bazel, OpenAPI, Buildkite.
- Experience managing apps via App Store Connect.
