Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Journeyman Carpenter to join our residential construction team. This position involves a mix of framing and finishing carpentry work on custom homes, renovations, and multi-family builds.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, a solid understanding of building codes, and take pride in high-quality craftsmanship from foundation to final trim.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans

• Construct walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and other structural elements

• Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry features

• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials accurately

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company standards

• Work independently or with a small crew to complete jobs on time

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specs

• Maintain a clean and organized worksite

Qualifications and Requirements

• Red Seal or Journeyman Carpenter certification (or equivalent)

• 4+ years of experience in residential framing and finishing carpentry

• Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and carpentry best practices

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

• Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work at heights

• Own hand tools and PPE (basic power tools an asset)

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
