Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter – Residential Framing & Finishing
Location: Canada

Salary: CAD $30 – $40/hour (based on experience and certification)
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Journeyman Carpenter to join our residential construction team. This position involves a mix of framing and finishing carpentry work on custom homes, renovations, and multi-family builds.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, a solid understanding of building codes, and take pride in high-quality craftsmanship from foundation to final trim.
Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans

Construct walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and other structural elements

Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry features

Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials accurately

Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently

Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company standards

Work independently or with a small crew to complete jobs on time

Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specs

Maintain a clean and organized worksite
Qualifications and Requirements

Red Seal or Journeyman Carpenter certification (or equivalent)

4+ years of experience in residential framing and finishing carpentry
-
Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and carpentry best practices

Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment
-
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work at heights

Own hand tools and PPE (basic power tools an asset)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
