Job Summary:
The Operations Engineer for our Petrochemical Plant plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all plant processes. You will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations, optimizing production, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Operations Management: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the petrochemical plant, ensuring that processes run smoothly and meet production targets.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate plant processes and systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide support in identifying and resolving operational and technical issues that arise during plant operations.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local and international safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, operators, and maintenance staff to ensure seamless coordination and operational success.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and generate reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and safety compliance.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training of new staff, sharing best practices and improving operational knowledge within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of petrochemical processes, systems, and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and cost reduction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Proficiency in using plant management software and engineering tools.
- A deep understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations in the petrochemical industry.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in operations engineering within the petrochemical, chemical, or industrial manufacturing industries.
- Practical experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
- Previous exposure to managing plant operations and leading teams in a high-stakes, regulated environment.
Working Hours:
- Standard working hours: 40 hours per week, with the possibility of rotating shifts or on-call duties depending on operational needs.
- Flexibility may be required to accommodate project deadlines or plant emergencies.

- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of petrochemical production processes, safety systems, and operational best practices.
