What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy, architecture, and evolution of Ramp’s internal tooling platform, acting as a technical owner for platform infrastructure
- Own and scale the Retool ecosystem, defining governance standards, best practices, and self-service workflows for operations teams
- Design, build, and maintain reusable integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Zendesk), establishing standardized patterns and components
- Build and operate cloud-native platform infrastructure using AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and containerization technologies
- Partner closely with operations stakeholders to gather requirements, drive platform adoption, and enable teams to work efficiently with internal tools
- Establish platform observability, health monitoring, and performance metrics to ensure reliability and scalability
- Define and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards across internal tooling
- Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve critical platform issues impacting internal users
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production platform infrastructure, ideally for internal tooling or developer platforms
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and managed services (or a comparable cloud provider)
- Demonstrated experience managing and scaling Retool or similar low-code/internal tooling platforms
- Strong background integrating third-party systems such as Zendesk, Salesforce, or comparable SaaS platforms
- Expert-level experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform
- Proven ability to establish platform governance, standards, and self-service capabilities for internal teams
- Proficiency in backend development (Python, Node.js, or similar) to build platform services and APIs
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering with operations teams to define requirements and drive adoption
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering best practices
- High sense of ownership and the ability to drive platform strategy from early design through large-scale adoption
