Key Responsibilities
- Merchandise Organization: Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure that products are presented in an appealing manner to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, processing, and storing incoming merchandise, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and up to date.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers by answering questions, locating products, and assisting with any inquiries.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve daily tasks and meet departmental goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic math skills for handling inventory and cash transactions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or inventory management is preferred but not required.
- Experience working overnight or early morning shifts is a plus.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time position with overnight shifts. Typical working hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM, with flexibility required based on store needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising best practices.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using technology, such as handheld devices for inventory tracking.
