Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation & Finishing
- Perform sandblasting of blades
- Sand green blades and repaired areas prior to filling
- Complete rough filling of blade repairs, filters, and related areas
- Perform geometric sanding to restore blade profile
- Execute fine filling to meet blade-to-blade geometry standards
- Apply paint and complete paint repairs
- Install final finishing components per quality standards
Equipment Operation & Documentation
- Set up, operate, and maintain painting and application equipment
- Operate blade handling equipment as required
- Document paint applications and production activities
- Perform visual inspections to ensure quality compliance
- Assemble, inspect, and evaluate parts per company and industry standards
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize required PPE
- Adhere to established shop specifications and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support team-based production activities
- Provide technical guidance to team members as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Ability to read, write, and understand the metric measurement system
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and kneel for 8+ hours per day
- Willingness to work overtime, including 12-hour shifts and off days
Certification & Training Requirements
- Certification in 3C filling and sanding requirements prior to painting
- Completion of equipment-specific training within the qualifying period
- Forklift and crane license (or ability to obtain)
- Possess or obtain all required PIME licenses
- Possess or obtain LOTO certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous paint application experience
