Job Summary:
Fresher Jobs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Faculty member to join our Computer Science department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer science and a passion for teaching. The Part-Time Faculty will deliver high-quality instruction, foster a positive learning atmosphere, and support students in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging course materials and lectures for undergraduate and/or graduate computer science courses.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Maintain office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students.
- Collaborate with department faculty to align course content with curriculum objectives.
- Stay current with developments in the field of computer science and integrate relevant topics into coursework.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives and committees.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in programming languages and software development methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in computer science, software development, or a related field.
- Experience in academic teaching or tutoring, especially in higher education settings, is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum and instructional materials.
Working Hours:
- Flexible part-time schedule, approximately 10-15 hours per week.
- Classes may be scheduled during evenings or weekends, depending on student needs and availability.
