Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a dedicated and responsible Part-time School Bus Driver to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to student safety and well-being, and will have the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with students, parents, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and designated events.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of passengers.
- Assist students in boarding and disembarking the bus, ensuring they are safely seated.
- Maintain effective communication with school personnel and parents regarding schedules and any issues that arise.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, promoting a respectful and safe environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the transportation supervisor immediately.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a school bus endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Experience
- Previous experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with children in a school or recreational setting is a plus.
Working Hours
- Part-time position with morning and afternoon shifts, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work on school holidays and special events as needed.

- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to school transportation.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate conflicts among students.
- Familiarity with the local area and school routes.
