Part-Time Yelp Spam Comment Remover (Multiple Locations)

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of user-generated content on Yelp by identifying and removing spam, inappropriate, or misleading comments. This position is part-time and offers the flexibility to work from multiple locations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and Remove Spam: Monitor user reviews, comments, and content submissions to detect and eliminate spam, fraudulent activities, and other content that violates Yelp’s guidelines.
  • Content Moderation: Ensure that all user-generated content adheres to Yelp’s community guidelines by reviewing flagged content and taking appropriate action.
  • Report Generation: Compile reports on the volume and types of spam encountered, providing insights to improve spam detection and prevention strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the content moderation team and other departments to develop and implement best practices for content quality.
  • User Interaction: Occasionally interact with users to clarify content issues or provide guidance on Yelp’s content policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot spam, fraudulent content, and subtle violations of community guidelines.
