Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Sequence of Events (SOE) and Operator Method Sheets (OMS) for weldment manufacturing.
- Perform process planning and review manufacturing workflows, including weldment drawings, tolerances, and DFMW (Design for Manufacturing – Welding) analysis.
- Estimate work content, conduct line balancing, manpower planning, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices, including kitting and process optimization.
- Create and manage Routings and Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP.
- Select and optimize welding processes and parameters for both manual and robotic welding.
- Execute PDP/OFP welding projects independently, covering process planning and DFMW analysis.
- Identify and implement improvements in quality, safety, and ergonomics.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, weld drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools, preferably PTC Creo.
- Experience with manual and robotic welding systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, including sequence planning and tolerance analysis.
Required Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Macros, VBA, Dashboards) and MS Access
- Lean Manufacturing Principles, Work Study, and Line Balancing
- Time Study and manufacturing methodologies
- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools
- Expertise in welding fabrication and procedures
