Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable database architectures to support various applications and services.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain database scripts, procedures, and queries for data manipulation and extraction.
• Collaborate with software engineers and system architects to integrate databases with applications and platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of incidents.
• Ensure data security and compliance by implementing appropriate access controls and encryption protocols.
• Manage database backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and best practices, recommending improvements and innovations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in database design, implementation, and optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in database administration or a related role.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Flexibility for occasional after-hours support or on-call duties may be required.
