Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer – Freelancer / Support Engineer to join our remote freelance talent pool. This role is ideal for a passionate individual who can assist in Power BI dashboard development, reporting solutions, and provide support on ongoing analytics projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports that help drive business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations based on business requirements.

  • Collaborate with business teams to translate their needs into effective Power BI solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing Power BI reports and data sources.

  • Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Assist with Power BI integration with other Microsoft services and third-party APIs.

  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements for existing Power BI projects.

  • Maintain documentation of data models, configurations, and business logic for support and audit purposes.

  • Conduct knowledge transfer and provide training or assistance to clients or junior analysts when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL queries.

  • Experience connecting Power BI to various data sources (Excel, SharePoint, SQL Server, etc.).

  • Ability to write, optimize, and debug complex DAX measures and calculated columns.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory for experienced freelancers).

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and support.

  • Freelance or remote project experience is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to business domains such as finance, HR, marketing, or supply chain analytics is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working schedule.

  • Availability for at least 2-4 hours per day (based on project requirements).

  • Should be able to support clients across different time zones when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of BI development lifecycle, agile development, and change management practices.

  • Familiarity with other BI tools like Tableau or SSRS is an advantage.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Capable of handling multiple support tickets or enhancement requests concurrently.
