Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects related to mining operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Conduct thorough analyses of mining processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative mining strategies and technologies.
• Oversee compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering professional development.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant innovations into operational practices.
• Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mining operations, including both surface and underground methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Proficient in mining software and modeling tools (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining engineering or related fields, with a focus on operational excellence.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and leading teams in a mining environment.
• Experience in implementing lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time position; standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines or operational needs.
