Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Regional Class A Hopper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials across regional routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A hopper truck across designated regional routes.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist in training new drivers as needed and promote a culture of safety within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent navigation and communication skills.
- Ability to operate a hopper truck efficiently and safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A driver, preferably with hopper trucks.
- Experience in regional driving with knowledge of the routes within the designated area.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends.
- Typically 40-50 hours per week, with potential overtime as needed based on delivery demands.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude to identify vehicle issues.
- Ability to handle and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and basic navigation technology.
