Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe and edit audio recordings from medical professionals accurately and efficiently.
• Review and interpret medical terminology to ensure accurate transcription of medical documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and data protection standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or unclear audio recordings.
• Ensure all transcripts are free from grammatical and typographical errors.
• Manage and prioritize multiple transcription projects to meet deadlines.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in medical terminology and documentation practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in English with excellent grammar and punctuation skills.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using transcription software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in medical transcription or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical dictation software is a plus.
• Certification in medical transcription (CMT or RMT) is advantageous but not mandatory.
