Key Responsibilities
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently, including data entry and medication dispensing.
- Assist pharmacists in managing medication therapy and provide information on prescriptions to both members and healthcare providers.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
- Conduct medication reconciliations and assist with drug utilization reviews.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering member inquiries and resolving any issues related to prescriptions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy practices and technology.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license/certification in the state of practice.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail or clinical setting.
- Experience with prescription processing and knowledge of pharmacology is a plus.
