Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) to install, maintain, and repair automated material handling systems, including conveyors and robotics equipment. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments such as logistics, manufacturing, or distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair material handling systems (e.g., conveyors, robotics).
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct battery maintenance and replacements.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Use schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Log downtime events, complete maintenance records, and update PM sheets.
  • Track, manage, and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Follow safety protocols and uphold equipment safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial or equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with industrial motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical systems (2+ years).
  • Knowledge of PLC-based control systems and robotics operation.
  • Experience working with OEM safety standards and compliance.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a growth mindset.
