Job Summary:
American Airlines is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Specialist, Aviation Recruitment Operations to support and streamline our recruitment processes within the aviation sector. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing the candidate and recruiter experience by optimizing recruitment workflows, managing key systems, and providing exceptional operational support. You will play an instrumental part in ensuring our talent acquisition team operates efficiently while attracting top aviation professionals to join our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a subject matter expert for aviation recruitment operations, including process management and system optimization.

Coordinate recruitment activities including interview scheduling, offer processing, background checks, and onboarding logistics.

Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure seamless candidate lifecycle management.

Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR tools to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Generate reports and analyze key hiring metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Support recruitment marketing initiatives including job postings, employer branding, and event coordination.

Provide consistent and responsive communication with candidates and internal stakeholders.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the talent acquisition function.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Strong understanding of recruitment operations, tools, and technologies (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Taleo).

Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience:

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in recruitment operations, HR coordination, or a similar talent acquisition support role.

Prior experience in aviation or transportation industries is highly desirable.

Experience with high-volume recruitment and large-scale hiring projects is a plus.
Working Hours:

Standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST).

Flexibility required to support various time zones and recruitment events as needed.
