Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tariff Mitigation Specialist to join our Global Trade and Supply Chain team on a full-time temporary assignment. This role focuses on tariff mitigation, import data management, and ensuring compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, experience with U.S. import systems, and familiarity with trade compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support tariff mitigation and trade compliance initiatives as a key analyst.
  • Partner with customs brokers (FedEx, UPS, Expeditors) and suppliers to gather and validate documentation for tariff mitigation.
  • Conduct research and generate reports using the U.S. Customs ACE portal.
  • Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff System (HTSUS) and determine applicable tariffs.
  • Run and analyze import-related reports to support cost-reduction decisions.
  • Maintain accurate import and trade compliance data as a Database Management Analyst.
  • Extract, analyze, and report on large datasets using Excel (pivot tables, filters, formulas).
  • Access and validate trade data in SAP; support material classification and entries.
  • Assist ITC Services in executing trade compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audit readiness, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and special projects within the trade compliance function.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in global trade compliance, data analysis, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience as an analyst in logistics, import/export, or compliance.
  • Knowledge of U.S. import entry processes and documentation requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with ACE, HTS classification, and customs brokers.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, filters, VLOOKUP, analytics).
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Understanding of ITC services and trade compliance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or high-volume import environments.
  • Knowledge of duty-reduction programs (e.g., FTAs, duty drawback).
  • Previous experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of global trade software and data management platforms.
