Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stock Checker in Chennai. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Stock Checker will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the availability of products, and supporting the overall operations of our inventory management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records, and report findings.
- Assist in organizing and labeling stock to facilitate easy access and identification.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and orderly stockroom.
- Support the receiving and dispatching of goods, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to procedures.
- Utilize inventory management software to update stock levels and generate reports as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with stock inquiries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using computers and inventory management software.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and reporting.
Experience
- Previous experience in stock management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes and procedures is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Flexible part-time hours, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
- Schedule may vary based on business needs and candidate availability.
