Key Responsibilities

Plant Support

  • Provide technical support to Niagara facilities nationwide.
  • Assist plant maintenance and automation teams with repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues on production equipment.
  • Support production uptime and equipment reliability initiatives.

Automation Upgrades

  • Perform root cause analysis for machine and system improvements.
  • Implement automation upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to increase output and reduce labor dependency.

Training & Development

  • Train and mentor plant electrical and automation technicians.
  • Share best practices and technical knowledge across facilities.
  • Identify team training needs and communicate recommendations to management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or related technical environment.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a similar automation technician role.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial electrical and control systems.

Technical Skills

  • Allen-Bradley (AB) automation software
  • Siemens automation systems
  • B&R controls and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
