Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Review assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge to fully understand work scope, priorities, documentation needs, and safety considerations before starting any task.
- Assist the Engineer in verifying the compatibility, condition, and availability of wheels, brakes, and other required components in line with approved standards.
- Perform scheduled component maintenance as per assigned task cards, ensuring that all required documentation, tools, parts, and GSE are prepared and used according to instructions.
- Conduct inspections and functional tests to identify, record, and report defects or damage in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are prepared before work and returned in proper condition once tasks are completed.
Safety
- Take full responsibility for the safety of assigned maintenance tasks, following all mandatory procedures and precautions throughout the activity.
- Protect self and colleagues by using appropriate GSE and personal protective equipment.
- Apply human-factors best practices by adhering to work interruption protocols and ensuring proper access, visibility, and lighting during maintenance and inspections.
Reputation & Teamwork
- Deliver effective internal customer service by supporting team members and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance activities.
- Represent the company professionally, demonstrating a high standard of technical competence when interacting with customers, partner organizations, and visiting personnel.
Cost Awareness
- Maintain strong awareness of maintenance costs, optimizing the use of time, materials, and resources.
- Reduce waste and avoid unnecessary repair expenses by preventing damage and minimizing repeat work.
Qualifications
- Certified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) for technical communication.
- Computer-literate, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.
Experience
External Applicants:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience on large commercial aircraft (Airbus experience preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
- Demonstrated solid understanding of component maintenance fundamentals.
