Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Truck Driver for night shifts to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods across designated routes during night hours.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure proper handling and loading/unloading of cargo to prevent damage.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues to management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and other navigation tools.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in a night shift role.
- Experience in handling various types of cargo is a plus.
- Familiarity with local and interstate driving routes.
Working Hours
- Night shift: Typically from 6 PM to 6 AM, with flexibility based on route requirements.
