Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain inventory control by conducting regular stock audits and managing discrepancies.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and organization for improved workflow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics processes and systems to enhance productivity.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to shipments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Forklift certification is preferred but can be obtained after hire.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics management.
- Experience with inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
- Previous experience in a high-volume warehouse setting is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime during peak seasons.
- Typical working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required as needed.
