Warehouse Support Associate

Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Support Associate at Home Depot, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, sorting, and organizing merchandise, as well as assisting with inventory management and fulfilling orders to support our retail and online operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and Process Merchandise: Unload trucks, inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies, and process items into inventory with precision.
• Organize and Stock Shelves: Sort and organize merchandise in designated locations to ensure easy access and accurate inventory tracking.
• Pick and Pack Orders: Efficiently pick items from shelves and pack them securely for shipment to customers or stores, ensuring all orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and assist with replenishing stock as needed to prevent shortages.
• Maintain Warehouse Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse environment clean, organized, and safe by following established procedures and guidelines.
• Assist with Equipment: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other warehouse associates and management to ensure smooth workflow and address any operational issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic educational qualification required.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as required, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer operations.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify issues and resolve them efficiently to maintain operational flow.
• Effective Communication: Good verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

Experience:

• Previous Warehouse Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is advantageous but not required.
• Training Provided: On-the-job training will be provided for specific warehouse processes and equipment usage.

Working Hours:

• Full-Time Position: 40 hours per week.
• Shifts: Availability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
