Warehouse Worker/Package Handler

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and process incoming packages and shipments in accordance with company procedures.
• Accurately label, pack, and prepare packages for shipment to ensure timely delivery.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts as needed.
• Perform regular quality checks on packages to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and order replenishments.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address any issues or discrepancies in package handling.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety guidelines to minimize risk of injury and ensure a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling packages and paperwork.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Basic computer skills for tracking and managing inventory.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Experience with warehouse equipment and machinery is a plus.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is advantageous but not required.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with package handling and shipping procedures preferred.

Working Hours:

• Full-time and part-time shifts available.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Standard full-time shifts are typically 8 hours long, with potential for overtime based on operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and effectively.
