Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate collection vehicles, ensuring adherence to traffic regulations and company policies.
• Collect waste and recycling from residential, commercial, and industrial areas according to established schedules.
• Perform routine inspections of collection vehicles to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with residents and clients regarding collection schedules and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and environmental policies.
• Assist in the training of new team members on safety protocols and collection procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of collections, including quantities and types of waste collected.
• Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public on waste management practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; commercial drivers license (CDL) is a plus.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Experience

• Previous experience in waste collection or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in customer service roles is a plus, as strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Working Hours

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Flexible schedules with early morning start times; potential weekend work may be required.
